Welcome to our government-owned Boromarajonani College of Nursing, a part of the Praboromarajchanok Institute for Health Workforce Development at BCN Chainat. It is my pleasure to tell you about our academics that train Bachelor of Nursing Science graduates for the health care systems of the future. Founded by Ministry of Public Health in 1976, BCN Chainat celebrates 37 years of preparing BSN students for quality nursing graduates with strong moral character and caring perspective. With high ethical standard and focusing on community learning and service in protective care and curative remedies, the key aspect is a fully integrated curriculum offers a combination of teaching and experiential work. Our mission is to help create sustainable living involves in research and practice that improves the health and wellbeing. Some of the inspiring areas our faculty members are studying include preventive care for elderly through meditative exercises and holistic health approach.
Clinical Nurse Practitioner and Community/Public Health Nursing are key aspects of the educational activities with collaboration from many contributors; guest speakers, clinical partners, community leaders, folk clinical herbalists that strengthen our student learning opportunities and lead to the College’s success. We also proud of our excellence center pertaining best practices for the healthcare program, which include family and older adult /gerontological nurse practitioner. Our undergraduates regularly make home-visiting in nearby farmers’ villages to provide health resources, education, outreach and family support to ensure healthy mothers, infants, teenagers, adults and seniors.
Situated only 2 hours drive north of Bangkok, BCN Chainat is a great place to begin or advance your nursing career in natural healing. We offer various short course training and workshops to diversify BSN educational options. All of these initiatives feature a wide variety of sessions ranged from Herbal Products Invention, Thai Massage and Spa to Thai Ethnic Cookery.
One of our future plans is to explore the possibility of developing an International Program of Nursing Practice with a focal point on natural healing of Thai holistic wellness. The establishment of the Dual Degree Cooperation will mark an important milestone for the college as we seek to expand our academic programs abroad. Hence, we are welcomed partnership from oversea institutions that interested in joint venture deal to become one of the premiere leading colleges of Holistic Health. The whole means physical, mental, emotion and spiritual must work together in harmony for perfect balance of the well-being.
Our residency location in Thailand’s Central Plain Region, a rice growing suburb of Chainat, and is a wonderful place to live. We are at the heart of the Chao Phraya River Basin where the century-old water community is still thrived. Little town of Chainat has a very peaceful atmosphere with a wealth of Thai local cultural and historical heritage.
